PMNA Plastic Optical Fiber
Features:
- Excellent thermal properties from -65°F up to 158°F
- Resistant to most liquids including petroleum products, sulfuric acids, sodium hydroxides, and sea water
- Achieves better light transmission than lead borosilicate glass fibers
- Better attenuation across the entire visible spectrum
- Greater flexibility than glass or quartz fibers
- Much lighter weight than glass or quartz fibers
- Less cost per volume than lead borosilicate glass fibers
- Easy termination and finishing of fiber ends
- Long product performance life cycle
- Numerical aperture of .50 provides a 60 degrees included acceptance angle
- Core material refractive index measures 1.492
- Clad material refractive index measures 1.405
